| CHRISTINE CAMPBELL
Christine Campbell studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1975 – 1979 specialising in ceramics. She then worked in The Orkney Pottery on the island of Rousay in order to gain some workshop experience. Whilst working there she exhibited in the Pier Arts Centre in Stromness and also the Open Eye gallery in Edinburgh.
Christine moved back to Portpatrick in 1981 to establish the Lighthouse Pottery her own ceramic workshop working in porcelain with semi precious gemstone decoration.
The pottery was then turned into a retail outlet in 1995.
Following her travels through India Christine became more interested in gemstones and now makes gemstone necklaces from hand faceted gemstones sourced from around the world.
Most gemstones have different meanings and certain healing properties, also everyone has their own birthstone.
Necklaces can be personalized using colour and properties of gemstones characteristic of the individual and ensuring they have their own bespoke piece
